My 2 cents on why YOU should read NANA!!!

NANA?

It's a story about 2 girls who share the same name but with completely opposite personalities, and i emphasize on the word opposite. Boring? I don't think so.

♣ Oosaki Nana - gorgeous, punk-rock vocalist with a penchant for everything Vivienne Westwood. Extremely confident of herself that somehow masks her inward insecurity.
♣ Komatsu Nana - extremely cute, pretty, lovable girl who changes boyfriend like tap water running down the sink. Has puppy-like adoration towards her counterpart.

why read nana?

♥ NANA is rated highest and most anticipated manga in Japan to date, knocking down Naruto and other popular mangas. However that does not mean that you should read it based on popularity alone.

Yazawa Ai, the creator and manga-ka of NANA paints a realistic picture of life in the urban Tokyo and spiced up with tales of love, heartbreak, steamy SEX (not recommended for minors!!!) and most importantly, the value of friendship. The poignancy of Yazawa's creations and her ability to make the readers fall in love and enraptured with her stories are the reason why she's the most celebrated shoujo manga-ka both in Japan and internationally.
